Since the early 70′s, there has been an everlasting importance in schools to check young children’s spines for a condition called scoliosis (curvature of the spine).  This condition can lead to early changes in the disc (or pads) that support the spine and may lead to pressure on nerves and even arthritic development.

Early signs of this problem may be noticed by a high or low shoulder, a high or low hip or shoulder blade that protrudes out in the back.  If your child shows any signs of bad posture it can mean a problem is in the making.

Specific methods are essential to detect a scoliosis and should be performed only by qualified doctors.  Chiropractic methods are aimed directly at this type of situation through examination, and xray if necessary, to determine the extent of the problem.
